An independent practice in architecture and environmental design
M.Tung Studio is an independent architecture and environmental design practice based in Milan, Italy, working on projects across Europe and Southeast Asia. The studio takes on residential, hospitality, cultural and civic work at the scale of the building, the courtyard and the block.
The founder is an architect trained in Vietnam who completed a Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture and Design in Milan. That background — one rooted in the density and climate of Southeast Asia, the other in the material and environmental rigor of Italian design education — shapes how the studio approaches every commission.
Design decisions are tested against environmental performance from the earliest concept sketch: solar exposure, daylight, airflow and material carbon are treated as design tools, not compliance checks added at the end. Computational methods — parametric modelling in Rhino and Grasshopper — support this process, allowing form and performance to be developed together rather than in sequence.
The studio also works as a design collaborator, partnering with architecture and design offices that need concept development, environmental analysis, computational modelling or visual communication for their own projects.
